The Abia state governor, Okezie Ikpeazu, on Friday hosted the third ‘One-Day-Governor’ selected during his administration and the first male for such appointment in the state. Master Nicholas Ogunji, is a 17-year-old student of Adventist Technical Secondary School, Ohafia and according to the state governor, the One-Day-Governor during his official outing helped free some inmates after paying off their fines at Afaraukwu Correctional Centre. In a thread of tweets, Ikpeazu in his announcement of the development said; “We currently have 17 years old Master Nicholas Ogunji of Adventist Technical Secondary School, Ohafia, as our One-Day-Governor. “He is the 3rd One-Day-Governor under my administration. Reports indicate that an unknown sect have attcaked the Emir of Kaura Namoda, HRH Sanusi Muhammad Asha's  convoy killing 3 policemen and five others.  The Zamfara state commissioner of police, Usman Nagogo  confirmed the incident which took place at Funtua, Katsina State. Speaking with Channels Tv, he however declined to give further information on the issue.

An area in Kaduna state, Gora Gan, Zangon-Kataf has been attacked by suspected Fulani herdsmen.  This attack was reported to have taken place in the late hours of Thursday 17th December 2020; where it was also reported by Daily Post Nigeria that 7 people lost their lives.  Recall,this  village was raided earlier this year by the said Fulani herdsmen which also resulted in loss of lives and properties. A source stated that five of the seven killed people are of the same family. The source also stated that an old woman was severely injured and had been taken to the hospital for treatment.  In his words, “As l am talking to you, we will go round this morning to know exactly those killed and injured. “So many houses were also razed down by the attackers and we will go round to ascertain the number of houses destroyed and the degree of destruction.” The source explained that the attackers came in large numbers and stormed the village around 8pm. “We are happy that security perso

Days after the tragic abduction of about 300 students from Government Science School Kankara, Katsina, it's reported that the abducted students have been released.  In a tweet via his official Twitter handle, the aide to President Muhammadu Buhari on Media and Publicity, Bashir Ahmad has confirmed the news. However, we await an official press statement. 

 A ghanian lady identified as Maa Adwoa  allegedly nabbed her believed 'best friend' naked in her matrimonial home.  In a video making the rounds, Adwoa allegedly entered her matrimonial home only to find Nafisa her best friend naked in the house.  A disappointed Adwoa lamented that because she now lives at 'Techiman', her best friend has used the avenue to be sleeping with her husband. It was gathered that Adwoa had helped her best friend to relocate from Techiman to Kumasi to help her get a job, but Nafisah betrayed her and started an affair with her husband. Khalid Mani one of the kidnapped students of the Government Science Secondary School Kankara, Katsina state who managed to escape recounts experience.  The incident took place on the 11th of December where it was reported that about 300 students were abducted. Speaking in an interview with Channels Tv said,   ''Upon their arrival at about 9pm, the bandits when I was returning from buying razor blade, first attacked the local security guard including one of the police officers on ground. They later on started shooting sporadically into the air saying Allahu Akbar which in effect captured our attention. Each motorcycle was carrying three bandits.'' Speaking further, he said ''They equally promised that they are here to help us and that we should not be frightened because they are not thieves. They asked us to gather all our phones and torch lights in one place. So I am calling on the government to redouble their effort to rescue my friends.''  Watch video

Arsenal head coach, Mikel Arteta  in a release stated that his players failed to beat South Hampton because they didn't utilize the opportunities they had. He went on to say that the his side came out very strong but however took the fall when his men reduced in number.  “When you can’t win it you don’t lose it. American rapper, Lil Baby has brought joy to what happened to be a tragic year for the family of George Floyd.  On Wednesday, the rapper helped throw a birthday party for George Floyd's 7 year old daughter. According to reports, the event was funded by Lil Baby, the event was planned by ATL Restaurant owners, Ericka and William Platt as well as NBA star Stephen Jackson.  Reports indicate that the planning of the party began as far back as July. In Stephen Jackson's words, "I think I adopted another child, God put me into this position". "I’m going to do the best that I can." Wednesday's party was a LOL Surprise Dolls-themed event held at Atlanta’s Pink Hotel.  Forbes  reports the children of Lil Baby, Jackson, and Future were all in attendance as well as the children of Rayshard Brooks, the 27-year-old Black Atlanta man who was fatally shot by police back in June. Controversial Nigerian artiste, Naira Marley has made a gesture of romance to Bbnaija finalist, Vee.  Naira Marley sent a bouquet of flowers to Vee with a lovely note which read, " My heart and soul for you ".  The reason for the romantic gesture is unknown but Vee seems elated as she took to her Instagram story to share the photos of the flowers and the note.  Recall, Naira Marley made the same gesture to Tacha a few days ago.  However, fans of Vee have advised Neo to brace up for what might be looming, although a lot of other fans waved the idea aside saying Naira   Marley was just being nice.
