It was a horrible day for the people if Kenosha as Jacob Blake a locale of Kenosha was shot seven times in the back after cops tried to stop him getting into his vehicle.
However, the shooter cop has been identified by the Wisconsin department of Justice as officer Rustein Sheskey ; he pulled the trigger on Blake 'seven times'.
He and and his fellow officers arrived on the scene whwn a woman made a distress call indicating her boyfriend showed at her house uninvited.
In the attempt to arrest Blake, another officer tried to fire a taser which was a failed attempt by that time all the other officers had firearms pointed at Blake following him round his van. As Blake opened the drivers front seat, officer 'trigger -happy' pulled his shirt and shot him in the back seven times.
However, Blake confessed to being in possession of a knife ; officers also found a knife under the driver's seat of his car; it was however not known when the knife was found said Josh Kaul(Wisconsin Attorney General). All officers involved in the shooting have been placed on administrative leave.
In 2015, Sheskey was sued after he crashed his police car into a teenage girl driving a Jeep when he allegedly made an illegal left-hand turn.In her complaint she stated that she suffered injuries to her head, neck and back . The lawsuit was however resolved outside court with the case being withdrawn in court also.
The other officers involved will also be identified “soon,” Kaul said during the Wednesday news conference. “The investigation is moving quickly. We have conducted interviews of some of the material witnesses in this case, and that’s part of the reason we’re able to provide the information we provided today,” Kaul said.
“But the investigation is still ongoing,” he went on. “What is critical from our perspective is while we want to move as quickly as we can, that we do so consistently with a full and thorough investigation so that what comes at the end of this process is based on a full and thorough investigation.”
