Lagos State governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu awards scholarship to children of police officers who died during #EndSARS protest. The governor announced this during his visit to Lagos Police Command Headquarters, Ikeja, on Wednesday, October 28 to interact with Police personnel. “The most important requests is to offer scholarships to the children of officers who died. “I have directed the Lagos State Scholarship Board, under the Special Adviser on Education, to immediately award scholarships to the children of the slain officers,” Sanwo-Olu said. The governor also went on to say, that the government is working on setting up a Rebuild Lagos Trust-fund to help ease the aftermath of the destruction that went on during the #EndSARS protest. Speaking further, he revealed that the reform of the police force, as demanded by the EndSARS protesters, has started. Self-acclaimed African Giant, Burna Boy has dedicated his BET Hip-Hop awards performance to all who lost their lives to SARS brutality in Nigeria. The 15th edition of the show held on Tuesday Night. One of the key events of the night was when Burna Boy and Chris Martin used their performance of 'Monsters you made' to spread awareness and pay tribute to the souls who lost their lives to the now defunct SARS unit in Nigeria. Monsters you made premiered in Burna Boy's latest studio album, Twice as Tall. The song highlights how government excesses has planted an evil seed in the heart of the youth. The song goes in to explain what majorly happens in most of not all African countries. The self acclaimed African giant, dedicated the performance to, “All innocent Nigerians killed by SARS.” The singer also used the opportunity to call for an end to police brutality and profiling in Nigeria.
